Recovery Potion
Ingredients:
3/4 cup frozen blueberries
3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I recommend Optimum Nutrition)
2 tbsp agave nectar
Instructions: Place all ingredients in blender and blend on smoothie setting or at high power for 60 seconds.
This potion tastes fantastic and is my go-to when recovering from a hard workout. It’s not keto-friendly if you are following that diet plan, but it provides a perfect carbohydrate to protein ratio that is proven to aid recovery. If you do not like a sweet taste or prefer a more protein heavy shake, you can omit the agave nectar from the recipe.
